While no software can ever be guaranteed error free, all business processes within the general releases of our software are tried and tested and in use in hundreds of installations. Through experience we know that the majority of software issues arise where you are interfacing our software to third party programs that require an interface. We urge you to keep interfaces out of your installation entirely unless they are business critical.
PromoServe has been designed to work with Microsoft Office. Other word processing or email packages may not link in correctly or may require additional chargeable work to function fully.
Hardware
Software is only as good as the hardware platform it sits on or the technical environment it is placed in. If your environment has loose or trailing power leads, or below standard network cabling, you are liable to suffer from numerous data corruption issues in the software. If you try to run a large database on an old, under-spec PC, you will experience crashes and lots of end-user frustration that will hamper your attempts at total company buy-in to your new system. If you do not currently have any in-house technical resource we strongly advise you review this policy.
To ensure PromoServe runs correctly, you need to ensure that your hardware and infrastructure are suitable. The minimum technical specifications for our systems are as follows.
