02/11/07 PromoServe and the BPMA Join Forces to Improve the Industry

As the leading representative body for the promotional products industry, the British Promotional Merchandise Association works hard to improve the performance of its member companies through lead generation, business support, advice and guidance. The team behind PromoServe, Industry Software Ltd, are committed to the same goal through training, improving business processes and enabling greater communication between distributors and suppliers using the latest technology.

Andrew Talbot, Managing Director of Industry Software Ltd, and Gordon Glenister, Director General of the BPMA, saw potential synergy between the shared aims of the two companies, and met to discuss a joint education programme designed to benefit everyone in the industry. This goes much further than simply recommending each other's services, centring around the need for more understanding of what makes a company successful, and how other businesses can reach this standard.

Gordon Glenister comments: "It's impossible to be in the promotional products industry in the UK and not have heard of PromoServe Software, but what really impressed me was their commitment to best business practice. They have built PromoServe on the back of extensive industry know how, and genuinely want to help other companies succeed. 24/05/07  Customer Relationship Manager Appointed

The past 12 months have seen many changes at Industry Software as we have:
  • Re-focussed our business on promotional products, print and mail order
  • A new majority shareholder, new name and major investment in staff
  • Re-branded, expanded and updated our software offering
What is clear is that we have the best software in the market and have a market leadership position in both promotional products and print brokers. Over the next few years we intend to expand our business model internationally.
 
To enable this we must first alter our company strategy from customer acquisition to customer retention, and improve the standard of our customer care so that our service is as brilliant as our software.
 
To make this happen, Liz Allen has been promoted to the management team and is now 'Customer Relationship Manager' responsible for managing the quality of our relationship with the client by co-ordinating the activities of all teams.

Industry Software, the development and distribution body behind the market leading software package for distributors and suppliers, are proud to announce the appointment of Q&Q Exclusively Trade as their distribution partner for PromoServe Software in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
 
The early success and positive reception to PromoServe Software in the UK convinced the marketing team that a similar operation in Europe could be equally successful as long as the infrastructure was there to support it. “We knew that in order to sustain a presence in Europe, we would need well connected local partners to help distribute PromoServe in their region.” comments Liz Allen, Marketing Co-Ordinator.
 
With the combined industry experience of Q&Q’s directors, Frank Quaadvliet and Marco van Rosmalen, and their commitment to providing technology driven industry solutions, distributors and suppliers in the Benelux now have the opportunity to explore what PromoServe could do for their business. 08/09/06  PromoServe Launches at the Trade Only National Exhibition

The first Trade Only National Exhibition was held on 5th September at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham, and marked the formal launch of PromoServe Software. The UK's only total business system dedicated to promotional products supply and distribution, PromoServe was developed from the award winning Customer FOCUS Marketing Driven Business System, which is currently in use in over 800 UK businesses ranging from one man bands to 200 user sites.

With over 750 pre-registered visitors, a programme of free seminars and over a hundred exhibitors, the exhibition was an event to remember. Andrew Talbot, Managing Director of Industry Software Ltd, the development and distribution team behind PromoServe Software, comments:

Huge capital costs could be a thing of the past as Industry Software Ltd unveiled their Monthly Software Licensing model. For a monthly fee, PromoServe Software will be available to purchase with full services as part of the package.
